ENTRAVISION COMMUNICATIONS CORP. and CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS have raised approximately $2.9 million for member hospitals during the eighth annual network-wide Radiothon. This year 95 communities nationwide will benefit from the Radiothon due to the participation of ENTRAVISION’s talented on-air staff and the increased reach of its online and mobile platforms.
ENTRAVISION’s José, Super Estrella, and La Tricolor network radio formats kicked off the event THURSDAY, AUGUST 13th with live broadcasts from CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL ORANGE COUNTY (CHOC) and the following day from the lobby of CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL LOS ANGELES (CHLA). The event concluded on SATURDAY, AUGUST 15th broadcasting from CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL PHOENIX (CHP). The record-setting Radiothon total of $2,856,182 raised makes this the most successful Spanish-language Radiothon to benefit CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS in 2015 and surpassed last year’s haul of $2.1 million.
“Now in our eighth year of collaborating with CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS, we are thrilled to have broadcast this phenomenal 72 hour Radiothon and very happy to know that its success will benefit more hospitals and children than ever before,” ENTRAVISION COO JEFFERY LIBERMAN said. “The overwhelming accomplishments achieved in this year’s Radiothon reflect the vast reach of ENTRAVISION’s national radio platform, our growing digital presence and our on-air talent and staff who rallied the great force of our Spanish-language listeners.
“We are once again extremely proud of the great partnership we enjoy with the entire ENTRAVISION team,” CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS VP/Hispanic Programs JOE TREVINO said. “This year’s Radiothon success is a testament to the personal dedication, creativity and commitment by everyone involved to engage ENTRAVISION listeners to participate with the Radiothon. It was a comprehensive team effort by ENTRAVISION.”
