CARLINE CLERGE has closed on the buying out of her partners in TRAVIS LICENSE PARTNERS, LLC, licensee of Ethnic WHTY-A (RADIO VISION NOUVELLE)/RIVIERA BEACH, FL-WEST PALM BEACH, and the subsequent transfer of its license to her CARIBBEAN MEDIA GROUP, INC. CLERGE is paying ROBERT TRAVIS $370,000 for his 51% and DAVID URBACH $50,000 for his 7%.
In other filings with the FCC, FIRST VENTURES CAPITAL PARTNERS, INC. has closed on the sale of W270BH/BLOOMINGTON, IN to THE TRUSTEES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY for $45,000.
And NORTHEAST BROADCASTING Triple A WXRV (92.5 THE RIVER)/ANDOVER-BOSTON, through its BEANPOT LICENSE CORP. license subsidiary, is applying for four on-channel boosters. The proposed facilities would include WXRV-1/FRAMINGHAM (tower in NATICK near the NATICK COLLECTION mall, lobe thrown southwest towards FRAMINGHAM); WRXV-2/DOVER, MA (tower in WALTHAM, main lobe towards WELLESLEY and NATICK); WXRV-3/NEWTON (tower in BELMONT, signal's main lobe pointing at WALTHAM and NEWTON); and WXRV-4/BOSTON (tower in SOMERVILLE with its main lobe pointing directly at downtown BOSTON), all with 33 watts horizontal, 99 watts vertical.
In CANADA, the CRTC has approved the sale of South Asian CKIN/MONTREAL by GROUP CHCR INC. to NEETI P. RAY (OBCI) for $500,000. The deal also incluses a $22,500 lease commitment for an antenna and an $18,000 consulting services contract, plus an option to lease studio and office space for up to a year. RAY owns South Asian CINA-A/MISSISSAUGA, ON-TORONTO and Ethnic CINA-F/WINDSOR-DETROIT.
