COLUMBIA RECORDS' ONE DIRECTION will perform at DETROIT's FORD FIELD this weekend and the team at CBS Top 40 WDZH (98.7 AMP RADIO) thought it'd be fun to add to the already massive amount of hysteria surrounding the show.

Last night (8/24), the station held a "Meet Up," which gathers a group of loyal fans together to celebrate their love for a band or artist.  Using the hashtag #1DMeetUp987, fans were directed to meet at the park located behind the station's suburban studios. 

PD TIM RAINEY told ALL ACCESS, "Over 2,000 of our loyal listeners showed up and it was awesome! Along with ONE DIRECTION meet & greet passes, we gave away more tickets to the show plus autographed memorabilia from the band. As of 9:30a this morning, we are STILL trending on TWITTER, almost 12 hours after the event. So those who attended are still talking about it!"
