PURDUE UNIVERSITY football voice JOE McCONNELL is taking an indefinite leave of absence to deal with unnamed medical issues. Producer and studio host TIM NEWTON steps in to take MCCONNELL's place. The games are heard on flagship WLFF/LAFAYETTE and a statewide networkof 28 stations, including WNDE-A/INDIANAPOLIS, WKJG-A/FORT WAYNE, and WHME/SOUTH BEND.
