The NEW YORK POST reports that longtime BLOOMBERG RADIO Station Manager AL MAYERS has added similar duties for BLOOMBERG TV as part of a shakeup at the network that is expected to also result in layoffs.
MAYERS is taking over the TV operation from CLAUDIA MILNE, who is moving to a position involving special projects and product placement. MAYERS will continue to report to Editor-in-Chief JOHN MICKLETHWAIT and CEO JUSTIN SMITH.
The POST previously reported that 100 employees, mostly reporters in the politics and government areas at the NEW YORK and WASHINGTON bureaus, are being targeted for layoffs as soon as LABOR DAY. Digital editor JOSH TOPOLSKY exited the company in JULY.
