On WEDNESDAY (8/19), COLUMBIA RECORDS welcomed the radio and music industry to a showcase with their new artist PHOEBE RYAN at BREAK ROOM 86 at the LINE HOTEL/LOS ANGELES.
After being escorted through the back entrance of the LINE HOTEL, we entered the club through a secret entrance (no we can't tell you). BREAK ROOM 86 has a fun nostalgic theme complete with '80s music, ATARI video games, furniture and walls decorated with boom boxes, tape machines, cassettes (remember those?) and other memorabilia.
PHOEBE put on a high tech pop set of sultry songs that included "Dead," "Homie," and "Ignition/Do You," then she finished up with the single from her forthcoming release entitled "Mine."
After the show, we all took photos and entered a vintage phone booth in the corner of the club which led to a secret karaoke room where we sang a few tunes ourselves.
Some of the radio and music VIPs in attendance included, KBIG (104.3 MYfm)/LOS ANGELES APD/MD BRANDON BELL, KIIS/LOS ANGELES on-air talents SISANIE and ALEX ON THE MIC; RADIO DISNEY VP/GM PHIL GUERINI and Program Mgr. KRISTEN YASUDA; KZZP and KMXP/PHOENIX APD/MD REID SPIVEY; KFRH/LAS VEGAS and KRCK/PALM SPRING PD SUPA JAMES; KZHT/SALT LAKE CITY MD AJ CARSON, KMXV/KANSAS CITY PD PONCH, KLCA/RENO, NV PD BILL SCHULZ, HOLLYWOOD HAMILTON producer MICHELLE PARISI, DALE CONNONE and KEN LUCEK of IN2UNE MUSIC, and ALL ACCESS Hot AC Editor MARK STRICKLAND.
ALL ACCESS sends a big thank you out to COLUMBIA RECORDS' AIMIE VAUGHAN-FRUEHE, JAMES WHITE, MATT STEVENS and the entire label staff on a great night of music and fun.
