Six ENTERCOM GREENVILLE stations -- Top 40 WFBC-FM (B93.7), Rock WTPT-FM (93.3 THE PLANET), Classic Rock WROQ-FM (CLASSIC ROCK 101.1), News/Talk WYRD-FM (106.3 WORD), Sports WYRD-AM (ESPN UPSTATE) and AC WSPA-FM (MAGIC 98.9) -- conducted the 8th annual two-day RADIOTHON for CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL at GREENVILLE HEALTH SYSTEM. The two-day donation total of $295,552 brings the eight-year total to nearly $2,400,000 (NET NEWS 8/26).
Commented ENTERCOM GREENVILLE VP/GM STEVE SINICROPI: "The 2015 RADIOTHON was a big success again this year. I want to recognize the hard work of the staff at our six radio stations, our sponsors, our listeners and the teams at GREENVILLE HEALTH SYSTEM and CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL that have helped us raise $2,400,000 since we began working on this project eight years ago. Raising nearly $300,000 in two days is no easy task. I am proud of the work our talented team delivers every day, and am grateful that we have listeners and sponsors that respond and support our efforts to make the Upstate a better place for all of us."
All RADIOTHON proceeds go to CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. Each year funds are raised for a lot of different initiatives, including PLAYSTATIONS, DVDs and other learning tools, diapers for preemies and CAMP COURAGE for children with cancer and blood disorders.
