Ryan Wild Joins NRG/Omaha As FM OM

Longtime broadcaster RYAN WILD has been appointed FM Operations Manager for NRG/ OMAHA. His duties will include developing and mentoring on-air talent, implementing interactive branding strategies and generating on-air ratings success for three stations including Hot AC KQKQ (Q98-FIVE), Top 40/Rhythmic KOPW (POWER 106.9) and Adult Hits KOOO (101.9 THE KEG).
WILD joins NRG after six years in dual posts as Programming/Operations Manager for MILE HIGH STATIONS TRUST’s Hot AC and Classic Rock combo WZSR and WFXF/CHICAGO and as Program/Music Director for AOL RADIO, where he oversaw several station channels. He will continue his role with AOL.
NRG/OMAHA Market Manager ANDY RUBACK commented, “We took our time to find the perfect fit to lead our FM properties to new heights with listeners and to generate higher ratings for our advertisers. It was a seven-week search, but I’m proud to say that we have finally found our man.”
WILD’s radio background also includes Manager/Programming & Operations for iHEARTRADIO’s KCCQ and KASI/DES MONIES, PD/MD and afternoon personality at CUMULUS’ WXLP/QUAD CITIES, IA; PD/MD and morning personality at CUMULUS’ KBOB/QUAD CITIES; afternoon personality at CUMULUS’ WPSK/BLACKBURG, VA; as well as several additional years on-air in QUAD CITIES at KBEA, KQCS, WLLR, KMXG and WHTS.
