BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP celebrates its 10th anniversary TODAY (9/1) after a decade of success with artists including TAYLOR SWIFT, THE BAND PERRY, THOMAS RHETT, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE, and more. To mark the anniversary and the accomplishments of the past ten years, BMLG President/CEO SCOTT BORCHETTA paid tribute to the future of the NASHVILLE music community with a $100,000 donation to MUSIC MAKES US, one of the industry's initiatives with NASHVILLE Mayor KARL DEAN to strengthen traditional school music while adding a contemporary curriculum. Students from NASHVILLE's HUME-FOGG school and NASHVILLE School Board faculty were amongst those in attendance during the check presentation.
"It hit me like a ton of bricks about five years ago as we really started to become an industry leader," BORCHETTA remarked of his desire to give back to the MUSIC MAKES US initiative. "We were doing good, but we needed to do better. I have no problem putting up the assets and the belief from BIG MACHINE if there is a real return on our investment. Mayor KARL DEAN's visions continue to show a return, making sure that music stays in the schools."
BMLG artists were also on hand for the celebration, which took place at the SIRIUSXM THEATER in NASHVILLE. NASHVILLE natives THE CADILLAC THREE and winner of NBC-TV's "The Voice" DANIELLE BRADBERY took part in the event, offering words of support to the students. BRADBERY also gave an acoustic performance for those in attendance.
SIRIUSXM "THE HIGHWAY" will celebrate BMLG's anniversary on-air TODAY (9/1) from 4p until 7p (ET), sharing memories and songs with BORCHETTA, REBA, TIM MCGRAW, MARTINA MCBRIDE, THE BAND PERRY, THOMAS RHETT, JUSTIN MOORE, ELI YOUNG BAND, CASSADEE POPE, RAELYNN, BRADBERY, THE CADILLAC THREE, and WATERLOO REVIVAL.
