The eighth installment of TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING Dir./Broadcasting/Programming MATT SAMMON's 10-part series on assembling, launching, and programming the NHL franchise's online-only "LIGHTNING POWER PLAY" radio station has been posted, with the latest edition focusing on the on-demand part of the channel's offerings.

SAMMON won't call the LIGHTNING's on-demand programming "podcasts," reserving that for shows produced specifically for that purpose rather than archived programs from the stream; nevertheless, he recognizes their importance as a complement to the stream ... and he admits that his own channel could do better on that front. But he also explains some of the basics of establishing an on-demand library, from hosting to what and when to post.
