Vevo Names Jon Carvill VP/Communications

Jon Carvill

VEVO has named JON CARVILL VP/Communications, responsible for leading all of the company's public relations and corporate communications efforts, based in its SAN FRANCISCO office, reporting to Pres.t/CEO ERIK HUGGERS.

CARVILL was most recently Sr. Dir./ Public Relations at QUALCOMM, responsible for the company’s worldwide product and technology communications in the mobile and wireless industry. Prior to that, he was Dir./Corporate Communications at INTEL, where he spearheaded PR, events and social media efforts for ONCUE, the company’s web TV effort acquired by VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS. While there, JON also held key leadership positions in corporate and financial communications as well as competitive response.

CARVILL was also VP/Corporate Communications at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, a multi-billion dollar joint-venture start-up between AMD and ABU-DHABI-based MUBADALA DEVELOPMENT CORP. He began his career at AMD and ATI, where he held multiple roles in consumer and corporate public relations, focused on the PC and console gaming markets.

CARVILL holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from ROYAL ROADS UNIVERSITY in VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA along with an honors diploma in public relations from ALGONQJUIN COLLEGE in OTTAWA.
