WNCT/Greenville, NC, Goes Off The Air After Fire Damages Building

The building housing BEASLEY BROADCASTING GROUP Classic Hits WNCT (107.9)/GREENVILLE,NC, suffered heavy smoke damage from a fire, causing the station to go off the air last night, according to the WCTI12 website.
An official from the local fire department blamed the blaze on an electrical short in a golf cart.
WNCT is located at 2929 Radio Station Road in GREENVILLE.
The deputy chief said the building was fine, but the smoke caused damage to several items inside. The radio station has been off the air through the morning hours. No one was inside at the time.
