IMMACULATE HEART RADIO's TRANS AMERICA BROADCASTING CORP. is selling Religion KTYM-A/INGLEWOOD-LOS ANGELES to EL SEMBRADOR MINISTRIES for $5,875,000 plus an LMA before closing; the buyer will accede to IHR's rights to a $400,000 escrow account and will pay $5,475,000 cash. IHR bought control of TRANS AMERICA for $6 million last year and spun MY NETWORK TV affiliate KAIL-TV (MY 7.1)/FRESNO to a company controlled by the previous shareholders. IHR retains Religion KHJ-A in the LOS ANGELES market.
In other filings with the FCC, CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for W225AJ/JOHNS ISLAND, SC due to loss of power at its site.
LOVELAND RADIO PARTNERS, LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KKCL-A/LOVELAND, CO because of flood damage and an uncooperative landlord "because the former owners failed to pay money due the landlord."
SEATTLE STREAMING RADIO, LLC has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for KNTB-A/LAKEWOOD, WA after losing its lease and programming deal with ESPN DEPORTES, and for K221FJ/TACOMA due to primary station KNTB's silence. The stations' sale to IGLESIA PENTECOSTAL VISPERIA DEL FIN awaits approval by the FCC.
And THOMAS HINES has applied for an extension of his Silent STA for WVLQ/PORT ST. JOE, FL while he seeks an alternative transmission site.
