CBS Radio Philadelphia, Travis Manion Foundation To Host 9/11 Heroes Run

CBS RADIO PHILADELPHIA has partnered with the TRAVIS MANION FOUNDTION to promote the 9/11 HEROES RUN in six locations around the greater PHILADELPHIA area. The annual race series will memorialize the sacrifices of the heroes of the SEPTEMBER 11th attacks and the wars fought since.
News/Talk WPHT (TALK RADIO 1210), News KYW (NEWSRADIO 1060), Oldies/Adult Hits WOGL (98.1), Sports WIP (SPORTSRADIO 94), Top 40 WZMP (96.5 AMP RADIO) and Country WXTU (92.5) have joined together to send hosts to many of the race locations across the DELAWARE VALLEY.
The WEST CHESTER 9/11 HEROES RUN 5K race and 1M fun run/walk will take place at the CHESTER COUNTRY COURT HOUSE on SEPTEMBER 11th at 6:30p (ET) with TALK RADIO 1210 participating on site.
The LOWER SOUTHAMPTON 9/11 HEROES RUN 5K race and 1M fun run/walk will take place at RUSSELL ELLIOT MEMORIAL PARK on SEPTEMBER 12th at 10a (ET), with 96.5 AMP RADIO on site.
The PENNSAUKEN JERSEY 9/11 HEROES RUN 5K race and 1M fun run/walk will take place at COOPER RIVER PARK on SEPTEMBER 13th at 9:11a (ET), with WPHT’s DOM GIORDANO and WOGL’s FRANK LEWIS of the "Breakfast Club" hosting.
The PHILADELPHIA 9/11 HEROES RUN 5K race and 1M fun run/walk will take place at the PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM on SEPTEMBER 13th at 9a (ET) with WOGL’s VALERIE KNIGHT of the "Breakfast Club" hosting.
The PHOENIXVILLE 9/11 HEROES RUN 5K race and 1M fun run/walk will take place at the FREEDOM FOUNDATION at VALLEY FORGE on SEPTEMBER 13th at 9a (ET), with WXTU on site.
The DOYLESTOWN 9/11 HEROES RUN 5K race and 1 M fun run/walk will take place at FONTHILL PARK on SEPTEMBER 27th at 2p (ET), with WXTU's DOC & ANDIE on-hand.
A portion of the proceeds from the 9/11 HEROES RUN will benefit the TRAVIS MANION FOUNDATION, which offers veterans and families of the fallen unique opportunities to help them take the next step in their journeys and accomplish their personal and professional goals. The other portion of the proceeds will remain in the local community to support various police, fire, and first responder related charities, including the CAMDEN COUNTY HEROES SCHOLARSHIP FUND, FREEDOMS FOUNDATION at VALLEY FORGE and the DOYLESTOWN FIRE COMPANY.
Last year, more than 30,000 people participated in races around the world. The TRAVIS MANION FOUNDATION invested over $151,000 back into the local race communities to support military, veterans, first responders and their families.
