Congratulations go out to AV DELI, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Pres./CEO JOE KELLY offered the following comments on the company's history and growth:
“Back in the day, I was the imaging VO for 85 or 90 Rock and Pop radio stations. We were also producing the imaging for most of them! Our marque clients included Z100/NEW YORK, THE LOOP/CHICAGO and KLOS/LOS ANGELES. We also produced every station in the GREAT AMERICAN group. Over time, we gathered reels and reels of special FX, custom beds, etc. I thought it was a real waste to use them once or twice and then throw them away. So, we began mixing out my voice, mastering the creative content on 10” reel-to-reel and marketing them as ‘Signatures.’ As time passed, we moved to CD audio, then to CD-Rom and eventually to the net. You may remember some of the products: Xrules, Rock ‘n Roll, Paradise Lost and many more. From the early 90s through the early '00s, we produced 67 imaging production libraries. Some are still in use! However, none of that content is found on the present day AVDELI.COM. Before there was AV DELI, producers had to make all of their own content. All that was available on the market back then were sound effects libraries and cheesy libraries of elevator music beds. We’re proud to have pioneered the ‘imaging production library.' Today, there are only two of us (out of 13) who were around back then. Most of our crew is under 30. In other words, when we launched the original AV DELI, most of our people weren’t even born yet! It’s great to still be around and doing better than ever! Thanks to all who have supported us over three decades of music radio!”
