RADIO ONE Throwback Hip-Hop WPHI (BOOM 107.9)/PHILADELPHIA has partnered with PHILLY’s own hip-hop star, FREEWAY for FREEFEST 2015. The event is set for SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19th at THE ELECTRIC FACTORY.
The outdoor festival will take place from 11-3p and the indoor concert is from 4-5:30p. FREEFEST 2015 will be co-hosted by MONIE LOVE MORNING SHOW co-host UNCLE O and PM Drive AL B SYLK.
The outdoor festival will feature vendors, a DJ Showcase, and Hip-Hop performances by local artists. The free concert will feature FREEWAY and surprise appearances by his co-horts in Hip-Hop.

FREEWAY, a NORTH PHILADELPHIA native emerged in the late ‘90s as a socially conscious rapper and captured the attention of JAY-Z’s ROC-A-FELLA RECORDS. Making his mark in hip-hop history, FREEWAY has produced four successful solo studio albums. After over a decade of success, he maintains the legacy of one of hip-hop’s most distinctive voices.
