Grand Ole Opry Celebrates St. Jude Kids

THE GRAND OLE OPRY celebrated “Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Night” on TUESDAY (9/15), part of its month-long “Cause For Applause” series. MARTINA MCBRIDE, RANDY OWEN, STEVE WARINER, CHRIS JANSON, DEL MCCOURY BAND, HENRY CHO, LOVE AND THEFT and BILL ANDERSON performed, while photos and videos were displayed on the big screen, recalling 26 years of Country radio's deep affiliation with ST. JUDE CHILDREN"S RESEARCH HOSPITAL in MEMPHIS.

Throughout the evening, ST. JUDE patients and their families were able to sit backstage and talk to several of the night’s performers. A portion of the proceeds from tickets sold for TUESDAY’s show will be donated to COUNTRY CARES FOR ST. JUDE KIDS as part of “Country Cares,” the OPRY’S “Cause For Applause” in SEPTEMBER.
