RIAA Releases August Platinum Certifications - Country Winners

The RECORDING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA (RIAA) has released Platinum certifications for the month of AUGUST. Those earning multi-Platinum recognition during AUGUST include MCA NASHVILLE's SAM HUNT for 2X Platinum single "Take Your Time;" (NET NEWS 8/20) and 19 RECORDINGS/ARISTA NASHVILLE's CARRIE UNDERWOOD for 2X Platinum singles "Blown Away" and "All AMERICAN Girl," 5X Platinum single "Before He Cheats," and Platinum singles "See You Again" and "Wasted" (NET NEWS 8/10).

Touching the Platinum bar by reaching the million-selling mark in AUGUST were DOT RECORDS duo MADDIE & TAE for "Girl In A Country Song," BIG MACHINE's TIM MCGRAW for "Shotgun Rider" and "Meanwhile Back At Mama's," and WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE's COLE SWINDELL for "You Ain't Worth The Whiskey."
