The fifth annual iHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL kicks off TONIGHT (9/18) in LAS VEGAS at the MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA.
RYAN SEACREST will host the event that features KENNY CHESNEY, SAM SMITH, COLDPLAY, JASON DERULO, DEMI LOVATO, DURAN DURAN, LIL WAYNE, DAVID GUETTA, DISCLOSURE, THE KILLERS, KANYE WEST and the MACY's iHEARTRADIO Rising Star winner, CHRISTINA GRIMMIE for the FRIDAY night show.
Some bad news as THE WHO and JANET JACKSON have canceled their appearances. The WHO initially cited an "unspecified virus" affecting ROGER DALTREY, which forced them to cancel four dates on their "WHO HITS 50! TOUR," including ANAHEIM on WEDNESDAY night, two nights in LAS VEGAS and next MONDAY in LOS ANGELES. When DALTREY's diagnosis was found to be viral meningitis, BBC.COM reports that the band postponed all of the remaining dates on the U.S. leg of their 50th anniversary tour. The canceled dates are now being rescheduled for SPRING 2016.
Regarding JANET JACKSON, iHEARTRADIO issued a statement that read, "We are truly sorry to inform you that, due to a recent ear issue preventing her from flying, JANET JACKSON is not able to perform at the iHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL in LAS VEGAS."
