WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist BLAKE SHELTON is bigger than life, and now he has proven that he is bigger than "PICKIN' ON THE PATIO." SHELTON, originally announced as the host of WMN's final edition of its "PICKIN' ON THE PATIO" series of the year (NET NEWS 9/8) has decided to make the event his own, moving the festivities to the roundabout in front of WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE's offices on 16th Avenue.
Fans and industry friends will be treated to SHELTON's favorite kind of garden -- the Beer Garden -- and food trucks as well as a free performance from the star. Additionally, SHELTON will be selling commemorative shirts with proceeds benefiting WMN's "FOR THE LINDS FUND" dedicated to wiping out cancer, named for former WMN Dir./Regional Promotion LINDSAY WALLEMAN who lost her battle with cancer two years ago (NET NEWS 4/9/2013).
SHELTON took to TWITTER earlier TODAY (9/18) to share the news of the event with fans, saying "My managers and label are 'Gonna' kill me for telling y'all...but who gives a shit! I'm playing a FREE outdoor concert, next WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd at 5:30p [CT] out in front of my label, WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE. Y'all come out, drink some beer and hang with me! WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE, y'all better start building a stage and figuring this shit out, because I'm doing it!" Leave it to SHELTON to supersize an already major event.
