Emmis/New York Adds Chaka Khan To the Circle Of Sisters Expo

EMMIS/NY is sponsoring the CIRCLE OF SISTERS, the largest EXPO in NEW YORK CITY.  (NET NEWS 8/27)

Urban AC WBLS (107.5), Gospel WLIB (1190-A) and Top 40/R WQHT (HOT 97) will be on hand for the entire 2 day annual event.  The EXPO will take place SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th, 10a-8p and SUNDAY OCTOBER 18th, 10a-6p.  .

SATURDAY night culminates with a R&B concert at the THEATRE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.  There will be performances by the legendary CHAKA KHAN, TAMAR BRAXTON, AVANT, and others to be announced.

SUNDAY evening will wrap-up the WEEKEND with a GOSPEL EXPLOSION concert at THE JACOB JAVITS CENTER.    There will be performances by TASHA COBBS, TINA CAMPBELL, CASEY J., BRIAN COURTNEY WILSON, KAREN CLARKE SHEARD, and ANTHONY BROWN & GROUP THERAPY.  The show starts at 5p and will close out the WEEKEND of activities

The CIRCLE OF SISTERS EXPO is where women of color come together to celebrate one another businesses, discuss relationships, health trends and financial advice, and catch-up on the latest fashion styles and more.  Each day, attendees will be exposed to over 100 upcoming and established vendors get to observe panels and breakout sessions discussing a range of topics like; marriage advice from celebrity couples, best social media practices, children, and understanding health insurance.

The HEALTHFIRST Cooking Pavilion will feature a wide variety of demonstrations from celebrity chefs including BOBBY BROWN, PAT NEELY, JEFF VADEN, and host NIKKI SHAW. 

Tickets are $20 per day in advance and $25 at the door.  A separate ticket is required for the GOSPEL EXPLOSION concert.  For Tickets and information, CircleofSisters.com.
