Blake Shelton Celebrated Five-Year Anniversary As Grand Ole Opry Member

WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist BLAKE SHELTON celebrated his five-year anniversary (NET NEWS 9/29/2010) as a member of the GRAND OLE OPRY with two performances LAST NIGHT (9/22). TRACE ADKINS, who inducted SHELTON five years ago, joined him on stage as a surprise. SHELTON shared this special milestone with the OPRY, continuing to commemorate its 90th anniversary. SHELTON was also presented with a celebratory gift, a one-of-a-kind, personalized fifth of whiskey, which impressed and excited SHELTON, who cheered, "I can't believe I have my own bottle of whiskey! I should keep that. How am I not gonna open that?"

SHELTON is set to perform TODAY (9/23) in front of WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE's offices on 16th Avenue as the final host of WMN's "PICKIN' ON THE PATIO" series of the year (NET NEWS 9/18).
