After years of singing stealthily in darkened, candle-lit homes and living in fear of the almighty wrath of the "Happy Birthday" legal team, the song “Happy Birthday” is now public domain. Being a jingle and production company of many resources, REELWORLD found it necessary to celebrate the world’s most well-known jingle.
The folks at REELWORLD notes, "every birthday party, it's the same old story. Half of the attendees sing "Happy Birthday” like they mean it and the other half are out-of-tune, lyric mumbling fools. And let's be honest, that just ruins the sincerity of the moment (we're looking at you, Uncle TED). If you've ever listened to the radio -- literally anywhere in the world -- you've heard a REELWORLD jingle. From KIIS/LOS ANGELES to BBC 1XTRA in the UK; from Z100/NEW YORK to HEART UK, and thousands of small, local stations in between. You've probably even sung along with us. Now, we can sing along with you."
Whether it's your day or someone else's, let REELWORLD sing "Happy Birthday" for you, your friend or your party. You focus on blowing out the candles and Uncle TED can worry about how to ruin THANKSGIVING for the family instead.
Effective today, birthday celebrants can now share the freshly-released “Happy Birthday” with their name sung in, courtesy of REELWORLD. All they have to do is go to reelworld.com/happybirthday, locate the recipients name and the song will be available for them to download or share. Can’t find your name? A shell will also be available for the more savvy producers to drop in names like JEROBOAM or GROOT, so don’t fret.
