Among the benefits of a new multi-year sponsorship deal between the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS and AMERICAN EXPRESS is the distribution of free "Gridiron Radios" -- earpiece radios -- to AMEX card holders so they can hear the live play-by-play from BONNEVILLE Sports KIRO-A (710 ESPN SEATTLE) and News-Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE at CENTURYLINK FIELD.
The radios are part of a larger series of promotions aimed at the "12s," the team's rabid "12th Man" fans, including a pregame "Section 12" experience, special offers from local merchants, a club at the stadium for card holders, and SEAHAWKS-branded cup holders. “We have a phenomenal fan base and the 12s have caught the attention of the country with how loud and enthusiastic they are,” said SEAHAWKS President PETER MCLOUGHLIN. “We are honored to partner with AMERICAN EXPRESS to create fun and exciting opportunities for our fans to support their team.”
“The 12s are some of the most passionate and loudest football fans in the country,” said AMEX President, Global Merchant Services ANRÉ WILLIAMS. “Working with the SEAHAWKS and SEATTLE-area merchants, we have a unique opportunity to embrace that fandom and create exciting, new ways for Card Members and HAWK fans to cheer on their favorite team throughout the 2015 season.”
