KDJE/Little Rock Announces 10th Guns N' Hoses Chili Cook-off

Corey & Patrick To Host Annual Fundraiser

iHEARTMEDIA Active Rock KDJE (100.3 THE EDGE)/LITTLE ROCK, AR and THE SEPTEMBER FUND is seeking chili eaters for its 10th Annual "Guns n’ Hoses Chili Cook-Off" on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st in support of the scholarship fund which benefits ARKANSAS firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, and related support organizations.

Individuals or teams of up to five will compete in various categories for cash, trophies, bragging rights, and other prizes. Tasting spoons will be sold to the public with money raised from this event going towards the SEPTEMBER FUND's yearly scholarship awards.

KDJE's Morning co-host COREY DEITZ created the SEPTEMBER FUND on the second anniversary of SEPTEMBER 11th, 2001 as a memorial to the first-responder civil servants who died and sacrificed on that day. College-bound sons and daughters of ARKANSAS firemen, law enforcement officers, and emergency medical technicians are eligible for the scholarships. Since the fund’s inception in 2003, it has raised and awarded over $100,000 in scholarships.
