Cancel That Retirement: Buffalo Sabres Voice Rick Jeanneret To Continue Past This Coming Season

BUFFALO SABRES radio and television voice RICK JEANNERET will return to the booth to call 41 games this season and will return for the 2016-17 season, and has called off his retirement, reports the BUFFALO NEWS' ALAN PERGAMENT.  JEANNERET was scheduled to retire after this season and battled throat cancer before last season, but the NHL team announced FRIDAY that he has agreed to work next season as well.

JEANNERET has been the SABRES' voice for 43 years.  DAN DUNLEAVY will continue to call play-by-play on games JEANNERET does not work.  The SABRES are heard on ENTERCOM Sports WGR-A/BUFFALO and seen on MSG and MSG PLUS.
