Jeff Hansen To Retire As PD At KUOW/Seattle

UNIV. OF WASHINGTON News-Talk KUOW/SEATTLE PD JEFF HANSEN has announced his retirement, effective FEBRUARY 1st, 2016. HANSEN has been PD at the station since MARCH 2000; he came to KUOW from KERA/DALLAS and previously programmed PACIFICA's KPFT/HOUSTON.

“JEFF has made a significant impact during his 16 years as PD at KUOW,” said Pres./GM CARYN G. MATHES. “He has a keen understanding of broadcast audience behavior and has skillfully guided the station through a changing radio landscape, while putting the listener first. His leadership and progressive thinking have helped KUOW remain at the forefront of public radio in our region, and his 36 year career in public radio leaves a lasting legacy.”
