WOR Tower Demolition Delayed

This Tower Is Toast

BUCKLEY Talk WOR-A/NEW YORK will have to wait a little longer before demolishing their old tower array in LYNDHURST, NJ to allow local officials time to warn residents about the impending implosion of the three nearly-700 foot towers.

VP/GM BOB BRUNO said, "WOR Radio is very concerned with the safety of the community, and although we are disappointed that the radio towers did not fall, we will continue to cooperate with town officials to meet their security requirements."

WOR has moved to new towers located several hundred yards north along the NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE. The old tower site is slated to be redeveloped into a golf course.
