After 18 days, 39 clues and 71 guesses, BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP Country WQYK/TAMPA’s “Secret Sound” was a mystery no longer, as listener JAMES BURGOS cracked the code, ID'd the clue and collected a cool $15,000 in cash.

Most of us in radio have executed a “Secret Sound” contest at one time or another, right? The morning show -- in this case, “DAVE & VERONICA” announces a clue each day, a hint which is repeated in the afternoon; for ‘QYK, that would be CADILLAC JACK. Listeners have multiple chances during the day to solve the “Secret Sound,” the jackpot building with each wrong answer.

So which clue did BURGOS decipher for the 15 grand? WQYK Dir./Promotions HILARY HATCH tells ALL ACCESS: “A TIM MCGRAW meet and greet VIP pass for the ‘'SHOTGUN RIDER TOUR' on a lanyard being dropped into a glass flower vase filled with sea shells.” OK, who recognizes that, but more importantly, who THINKS that up?
