Shawn Rock New MD/Midday Jock For KILO/Colorado Springs

Shawn Rock Replaces Mehoff

BAHAKEL Active Rock KILO/COLORADO SPRINGS has hired 13-year radio vet SHAWN ROCK as the new MD/midday rocker, replacing MR. MEHOFF who exited the station in early AUGUST (NET NEWS 7/30).

KILO PD ROSS FORD said, "SHAWN brings a lot of skills to the position and as an added bonus, she is very passionate about rock music and the rock lifestyle. It was a very difficult decision to make. With over 100 applications we had ten very talented radio pro's make it into the final round of potential hires, each with different skill sets that made them unique. No matter who we hired they would have made KILO stronger."

ROCK got her start at KILO doing weekends straight out of school back in 2002. From there she joined the promo department at KUPD/PHOENIX and then became full-time morning show host and Promotions Dir. at KMKF (K-ROCK)/MANHATTAN,KS and by 2012 added the PD title to her resume.   

She'll make her KILO debut on OCTOBER 12th.
