LOCAL MEDIA SAN DIEGO, operator of Urban AC XHRM (MAGIC 92.5), Top 40 XHTZ (Z90), and Alternative XETRA (91X)/TIJUANA-SAN DIEGO, and MIDWEST TELEVISION's KFMB STATIONS, licensee of Adult Hits KFMB-F (100.7 JACK FM) and News-Talk KFMB-A/SAN DIEGO, have entered a joint operating agreement to combine the stations into a single cluster under the SDLOCAL banner. The deal does not include MIDWEST TELEVISION's CBS affiliate KFMB-TV (CBS 8).
“We’re excited to finalize this agreement with the KFMB STATIONS’ radio group,” said LOCAL MEDIA SAN DIEGO VP/GM GREGG WOLFSON. “With both organizations focused exclusively on the SAN DIEGO market, this partnership gives us the resources to deliver even more localized programming, events, contests and promotions to our advertising partners and the SAN DIEGO community.”
“Local, independent broadcast companies are facing increased pressure from national competitors, but they can’t rival our years of experience serving SAN DIEGO,” said MIDWEST TELEVISION owner/President ELISABETH KIMMEL. “I’m eager to put our combined experience and assets to work for our customers across the region.”
