New York Islanders Add WNYE/New York To Radio Network

On the eve of the regular season, the NHL's NEW YORK ISLANDERS have announced a NEW YORK affiliate for the game broadcasts originated at HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY noncommercial Variety WRHU/HEMPSTEAD, NY, adding NYC MEDIA noncommercial Variety WNYE/NEW YORK to the network which also includes JVC MEDIA News-Talk WRCN (LI NEWS RADIO)/RIVERHEAD, NY. CHRIS KING returns to call the play-by-play and GREG PICKER will join as analyst. The team is playing its first season at BARCLAYS CENTER in BROOKLYN after playing at NASSAU COLISEUM in UNIONDALE, LONG ISLAND since its inception.
“We are pleased to launch the ISLANDERS RADIO NETWORK with WNYE, WRHU, and WRCN to broadcast ISLANDERS games this season,” said BARCLAYS CENTER CEO BRETT YORMARK. “The three-station tandem allows us to reach fans in LONG ISLAND, BROOKLYN and MANHATTAN.”
