WHZT/Greenville, SC To Help Carolina Flood Victims

SUMMIT MEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic WHZT (HOT 98.1)/GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG, SC will be broadcasting live this THURSDAY OCTOBER 8th to help those hit by the heavy floods in SOUTH CAROLINA.,
‘FLOAT SOME HOPE’ will take place at the PHILLIS WHEATLEY CENTER from 10a-5p. This is an effort to collect canned goods and supplies for those affected by the devastation. Many are without power, food, lost everything, and there are those separated from loved ones.
HOT 98.1 is doing this in partnership with HARVEST HOPE FOOD BANK and the URBAN LEAGUE OF THE UPSTATE.
OM ELROY SMITH told ALL ACCESS, “We try to be a comfort to our listeners and a resource to our community in times like these. Our radio stations do not hesitate to offer any assistance that we can during tragedies, such as the flooding that continues to affect the residents of SOUTH CAROLINA.”
Here's what's being requested:
- Canned meat
- Canned fruit and vegetables
- 100% fruit juice, bottled
- Condensed milk
- Sports drinks (GATORADE etc.)
- Baby formula, diapers, and wipes
- Bottled water
