Suspects Apprehended In Dave Brainard Assualt

A COLUMBIA, TN couple has been charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor assault following an altercation involving NASHVILLE record producer DAVE BRAINARD and a friend last month (NET NEW 9/29). DUSTIN CARL HARGROVE and NICHOLE M. HARGROVE allegedly attacked BRAINARD and DEBORAH DELOACH during the early hours of SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th, leaving BRAINARD unconscious and in need of facial reconstructive surgery, which he successfully underwent last week.

According to the TENNESSEAN, BRAINARD released a statement following the arrest, which included, “We are humbled by the outpouring of care and support from not only friends and family, but what feels like the entire city. A huge thanks to everyone involved. I'll be sleeping more soundly knowing this part of the process is over."

BRAINARD and DELOACH were pedestrians in a crosswalk when a vehicle driven by DUSTIN HARGROVE struck DELOACH, then continued to drive into her. Both HARGROVES got out of the car and the assault ensued. The couple posted bail totaling $8,500 following their arrest.
