The LOS ANGELES DODGERS have announced that VIN SCULLY will miss the postseason while recovering from a "recommended medical procedure."
In a series of tweets and a press release announcing SCULLY's illness, the team said, "VIN SCULLY underwent a recommended medical procedure this morning and is resting comfortably. On the advice of his doctors, SCULLY will miss the DODGERS’ postseason games to rest up but is looking forward to returning in 2016. Everyone in the DODGERS organization wishes Vin the speediest of recoveries."
SCULLY, 87, has broadcast the DODGERS since 1950 in BROOKLYN; he was to be heard on radio only for the playoffs on iHEARTMEDIA Sports KLAC-A (AM 570 LA SPORTS)/LOS ANGELES. The 2016 season will be his 67th and, likely, his final season with the club.
