Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame Class Of 2015 Inducted And Honored In Music City

ROSANNE CASH, MARK JAMES, EVEN STEVENS, and CRAIG WISEMAN were officially inducted into the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME (NSHOF) (NET NEWS 7/16) last NIGHT (10/11) in front of a sold-out industry crowd at NSHOF's "45TH ANNIVERSARY HALL OF FAME GALA" at the MUSIC CITY CENTER in NASHVILLE.
"This year's NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME inductees are once again among the very best songwriters linked to the NASHVILLE music community: MARK JAMES and CRAIG WISEMAN in the songwriter category; EVEN STEVENS in the veteran songwriter category; and ROSANNE CASH in the songwriter/artist category," said NSHOF Board Chair and HALL OF FAME member PAT ALGER. "Each year we honor a few undeniably exceptional songwriters, and we are always amazed at the depth of talent that continues to blossom in this town. This year's class takes its rightful place among the all-time greats that make up THE NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME."
CASH was inducted by HALL OF FAME songwriter RODNEY CROWELL and was honored with a VINCE GILL performance of "Seven Year Ache" and an EMMYLOU HARRIS performance of "I Was Watching You." JAMES was inducted by BMI VP/Writer Publisher Relations JODY WILLIAMS and honored with a HUNTER HAYES performance of "Suspicious Minds" and a B.J. THOMAS performance of "Hooked On A Feeling." STEVENS was inducted by HALL OF FAME songwriter HUGH PRESTWOOD and honored with a LOVING MARY performance of "Drivin' My Life Away" and a PAUL MCDONALD performance of "When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman." WISEMAN was inducted by HALL OF FAME songwriter BOB DIPIERO and honored with a JEFFREY STEELE performance of a medley of WISEMAN-penned hits, a RONNIE DUNN performance of "Believe," and a TIM MCGRAW performance of "Live Like You Were Dying."
The evening also included a special presentation to DVL/SEIGENTHALER Found/Board Chair JOHN VAN MOL in appreciation for his efforts to create the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME GALLERY at the MUSIC CITY CENTER. For more information about NSHOF, visit the official website.
