ALANIS MORISSETTE has joined the ranks of podcasters with TODAY's debut of "CONVERSATION WITH ALANIS MORISSETTE," a new monthly show.
The singer/songwriter will be covering a wide range of topics with guests pulled from the ranks of authors, doctors, educators and therapists. The first guest is author KATHERINE WOODWARD THOMAS; the show is being accompanied with a relaunch of MORISSETTE's website at alanis.com and, on OCTOBER 30th, a 20th anniversary re-release of her album "Jagged Little Pill" in a four-disc collectors' edition including a remastered version of the original, a disc of 10 unreleased demos, a re-release of the 2005 acoustic version of the album, and a previously unreleased 1995 concert album.
MORISSETTE said, “I have been having these wildly engaging conversations with my mentors and teachers and colleagues privately, quietly and on-goingly in cafes, my kitchen, schools, tour buses, airplanes and the like for so many years. For them to be made public now in the form of this podcast is a dream come true for me, a stepping out and a coming home. It feels like a true integration of all the parts of life I have been passionately studying and researching through direct experience and schooling. the rock star, teacher, philosopher, student and scholar are finally blending into one. I get to have conversations with different authors, artists, leaders, teachers and public and private figures -- each of whom have a unique perspective and model based on topics ranging from science, spirituality, philosophy, psychology, feminism, health, wellness, relationships, art, design, activism, neurobiology, music, comedy and more. We chat and philosophize in a way that illuminates and illustrates our current ideas, as well as allowing us to push the conversation further in real time. I couldn’t be more excited.”
