Former ELEKTRA RECORDS Pres. JEFF CASTELAZ's PABLOVE ACROSS AMERICA, the LOS ANGELES-to-SAN FRANCISCO bike ride to raise money for cancer research named after his late son, managed to generate more than $600,000 for his foundation.
The event pedaled to a triumphant close over the weekend, as the peloton, which left L.A. on OCTOBER 5th, rode into SAN FRANCISCO on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11th. The 550-mile trek took the riders up the CALIFORNIA coast, and as the odometers clicked, so did the donation tally.
Upon finishing the ride, CASTELAZ posted photos and commented on FACEBOOK: “Can you tell I'm excited that we made it to the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE and that we smashed through our $600,000 goal? I'm so proud of my 40 fellow riders, our 14 crew members, our sponsors, hundreds of donors, the entire PABLOVE staff, and our amazing CEO JO ANN THRAILKILL.”
Additional entertainment industry luminaries on the ride included ANTHEM AGENCY's ALAN SARTIRANA, CHELSEA PICTURES' ALLISON AMON, WME's AMOS NEWMAN, NEW ORLEANS CIVIC THEATER's BRYAN BAILEY, CAA's JACE COOK, CANYON MEDIA ADVISORY's LEE RIERSON, BBC RADIO 1's PETE TONG and INSOMNIAC EVENTS' SIMON LAMB.
