CAPITOL NASHVILLE artist KEITH URBAN will partner with JOHN MELLENCAMP during "THE 49TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS." The announcement came TODAY (10/14) as the second of the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA)'s "ONE-OF-A-KIND WEDNESDAY" collaborations (NET NEWS 10/7).

URBAN and MELLENCAMP have not yet announced what song they will perform together, but if "JOHN COUGAR, JOHN DEERE, JOHN 3:16" isn't the obvious front-runner, nothing is. The real fun comes as the younger generation of fans work to put two and two together, discovering that JOHN COUGAR is singing about himself.
