KEVIN AVERY of KEVIN AND TAYLOR IN THE MORNING on SALEM Contemporary Christian WFSH (104.7 THE FISH)/ATLANTA has raised over $24,000 for FOOD FOR THE POOR and will cycle 100 miles at ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY this WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21st.
KEVIN will combine his compassion for the poor with his passion for cycling in support of FOOD FOR THE POOR’s Food For A Year & Water For Life campaign. AVERY will ride his bike for 100 miles at the ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY during the on-air fundraiser on 104.7 THE FISH.
His goal to raise $20,000 was surpassed and over $24,000 has been donated to FOOD FOR THE POOR, providing food and water for destitute children and their families in GUATEMALA and HAITI. Listeners donated $10,000 and the law offices of GARY MARTIN HAYS matched those donations pushing the total over $24,000!
While KEVIN is out riding, 104.7 THE FISH will be doing a live on-air fund raiser for FOOD FOR THE POOR with a goal of over $260,000.
FOOD FOR THE POOR TV-Radio Mktg. Dir. ALICE MARINO commented, "Our goal for the campaign is to raise enough funds to provide care for 5,200 children. On behalf of the least of these we serve, we want to thank FISH ATLANTA and its listeners for their generosity and wonderful support over the years."
