SiriusXM Plans Some 'Frightfully Fun' Halloween Programming

SiriusXM Gets Scary

SIRIUSXM will broadcast a wide-variety of HALLOWEEN-themed programming across multiple music, comedy, talk and entertainment channels featuring everything from scary stories for adults to party sounds for kids and families.

The limited-engagement SIRIUSXM SCREAM channel will provide listeners with the ultimate HALLOWEEN soundtrack, featuring special celebrity guests and hosts giving personal reflections on their favorite "trick or treat" memories, least-favorite costume ideas, and what they really think about candy corn. The SCREAM channel will air starting on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22nd, starting at 6p (ET), through SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1st, at 9a (ET) on LIMITED ENGAGEMENTS, channel 18.

JENNA WOLFE, The TODAY Show’s Lifestyle and Fitness Correspondent and host on SIRIUSXM's TODAY SHOW RADIO, will count down the unlucky 13 songs of HALLOWEEN as well as offer her own take on celebrating the holiday, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st at 10a (ET) with an encore broadcast 8p (ET) on SCREAM.

The 13th annual PUMPKIN JAM on KIDS PLACE LIVE will feature a celebration for kids and their families with songs and spooky stories from JUSTIN ROBERTS, RECESS MONKEY and DISNEY JUNIOR alumni THE IMAGINATION MOVERS as well as songs from popular kid-friendly movies like “Hotel Transylvania” and “The Nightmare Before CHRISTMAS.”  THE PUMPKIN JAM will air from FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th, at 10a (ET) through SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1st, at 12 midnight (ET), on KIDS PLACE LIVE, channel 78. Additional HALLOWEEN programing on SIRIUSXM will include:

SIRIUSXM COMEDY GREATS (channel 94): JAY THOMAS celebrates HALLOWEEN NEW ORLEANS style with six comics, music from local bands, plus a walk through haunted cemeteries, and all with a live audience of SIRIUSXM listeners; it airs THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29th starting at 9p (ET). Also, listeners will hear “Comics from the Grave!” hosted by GILBERT GOTTFRIED, featuring a countdown of some his favorite comics from the past, those who have passed on ... and a few surprises from those who haven’t. It airs on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th, starting at 6p (ET), with encore broadcasts on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st, at 10a (ET) and 8p (ET).

RAW DOG SIRIUS XM COMEDY HITS (channel 99): TOM PAPA’s HALLOWEEN SPECIAL recorded in front of a live audience at LARGO AT THE CORONET in LOS ANGELES, airs FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th, starting at 10a (ET) and SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st, starting at 12p (ET).

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY RADIO (channel 105):  “Ash vs Evil Dead” cast members BRUCE CAMPBELL and LUCY LAWLESS with director SAM RAIMI talk with “EW Morning Live” host DALTON ROSS.  Airs on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st, at 8a (ET) and rebroadcasts at 12 noon and 5p (ET).

RADIO CLASSICS (channel 148) HALLOWEEN-themed episodes of favorite classic radio comedies and dramas, culminating in a 12-hour broadcast of two of the Golden Age of Radio’s preeminent horror programs, “The Witch’s Tale” and “The Hermit’s Cave,” SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st at 12p (ET) through SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1st at 12 MIDNIGHT (ET).

JAM_ON (channel 29): THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT’s “Suwannee Hulaween Festival” will air live, featuring performances by SCI, PRIMUS, LETTUCE, RAILROAD EARTH, SLIGHTLY STOOPID and PAPADOSIO, among others. Broadcast starts on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th, at 4p (ET) through SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1st, at 11p (ET).

ELECTRIC AREA (channel 52): ARMIN VAN BUUREN performs an exclusive DJ set from the GANSEVOORT PARK HOTEL in NEW YORK CITY as part of SIRIUSXM’s ELECTRIC AQUARIUM series.  Airs on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st, at 8p (ET).

ON BROADWAY (channel 72): SIRIUSXM host SETH RUDETSKY celebrates the 40th anniversary of the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” with original stars BARRY BOSTWICK, PATRICIA QUINN and NELL CAMPBELL. Airs FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th at 5:30p (ET) and 9p (ET); SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st, at 8a (ET) and again at 12:30p (ET).
