ALL ACCESS extends sympathies to family and friends of COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME member DOUG MAYES, who passed away at his home in NORTH CAROLINA on SUNDAY (10/18). He was 93.

MAYES was the host of “CAROLINA COUNTRY STYLE” on WBT/CHARLOTTE during the 50s and 60s, but also worked at WSIX/NASHVILLE in the late 40s. A 2002 COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME inductee, MAYES is also a member of both the NORTH CAROLINA and CHARLOTTE BROADCASTERS HALLS OF FAME. Services and burial were held TODAY (10/21) in DENVER, N.C.
