BIG G LITTLE O INC. is selling Hot AC WUPM/IRONWOOD, MI and Oldies WHRY-A/HURLEY, WI to BAROKA BROADCASTING, INC. for $200,000.
In other filings with the FCC, LIGHTHOUSE RADIO GROUP is selling Smooth Jazz KYSJ (105.9 THE WAVE)/COOS BAY, OR to HUNT BROADCASTING, LLC for $135,000 ($5,000 down, $30,000 cash at closing, $100,000 in a promissory note).
LAUREL A. VILLANUEVA is selling W293AZ/ELKHART, IN to WDLW RADIO, INC. for $20,000.
HAWKEYE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of Country KLYR-A/CLARKSVILLE, AR to OZARK COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $100.
FIRST VENTURES CAPITAL PARTNERS, INC. has closed on the sale of K288EZ/LITTLE ROCK, AR to N C COMMUNICATIONS, LLC under a 2011 option agreement for $50,000 plus $1,000 per month paid to rebroadcast Urban AX KDXE-A (HOT 105.5)/NORTH LITTLE ROCK.
And KEVIN J. YOUNGERS (YOUNGERS COLORADO BROADCASTING LLC) has closed on the sale of the construction permit for W229CG/CLEVELAND, OH to RADIO.COM, LLC for $90,000.
In CANADA, the CRTC approved RADIO HUMSAFAR INC.'s application for a new station at BRAMPTON, ON. The station will air a South Asian format at 1350 AM with 1,000 watts daytime and 45 watts at night, nondirectional. The application won out over applications by NEETI P. RAY and RAVINDER SINGH PANNU.
And the CRTC rejected an application by BYRNES COMMUNICATIONS INC. for a new FM with 350 watts at 88.5 MHz in BURLINGTON, ON, ruling that the HAMILTON/BURLINGTON radio market "cannot sustain any additional commercial radio stations at this time."
