Alpha Media/San Antonio Raises $114k At 8th Annual Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner Radiothon

ALPHA MEDIA/SAN ANTONIO held the 8th annual RAUL JIMENEZ THANKSGIVING DINNER RADIOTHON last FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16th, with six stations -- News/Talk KTSA (AM 550), Sports KZDC (1250 ESPN SAN ANTONIO), Top 40 Rhythmic KTFM (941), Adult Hits KJXK (1027 JACK-FM), Regional Mexican KLEY-FM (LA LEY 95.7), and Regional Mexican KSAH-FM (NORTENO 720/104.1) – raising over $114,000 to benefit the largest THANKSGIVING celebration in the country.
The RAUL JIMENEZ THANKSGIVING DINNER, named after the late local restaurateur, commenced 36 years ago serving meals to a couple of hundred people in need. The tradition called “A Feast Of The Heart” has continued annually orchestrated by his daughter PATRICIA JIMENEZ. Today, the event serves THANKSGIVING DAY meals to over 25,000 of most needy and elderly in SAN ANTONIO.
ALPHA MEDIA/SAN ANTONIO Operations Dir. GREG MARTIN commented, “We associate our stations with so many wonderful organizations, but this one is genuine. It’s family run and family executed with the help of the of the local community. There is no worry about high paying salaries and big overhead. You know exactly where your money is going."
Added PATRICIA JIMENEZ: "We are eternally grateful to ALPHA MEDIA, KTSA and its sister stations for helping us raise over $114,000 to benefit the 35th annual RAUL JIMIENZ THANKSGIVING DINNER. Thank you to the listeners who called in to make their donations and all of the in-studio guests who took time out of their busy schedules to support the cause and give their testimony. Due to this generous outpouring, 25,000 senior citizens, underprivileged families and the homeless will experience the joy of THANKSGIVING."
