ADELE gave a pair of interviews this morning in conjunction with the release of the first single/ video, "Hello," from her much-anticipated album, "25," which comes out NOVEMBER 20th on XL/COLUMBIA RECORDS.
ADELE chatted with SIRIUSXM’s JENNY ELISCU and APPLE BEATS 1's ZANE LOWE about the project.
"This song was a massive breakthrough for me with my writing because it'd been pretty slow up to this point, and I felt after I worked with [producer] GREG KURSTIN on this, it all poured right ouf of me," she told SIRIUSXM's ELISCU. "Straight away, I felt a little bit silly singing, 'Hello, it's me,' but straight away I loved the verse and I knew it was going to be the first thing I came back with."
She also told ELISCU, there's both "lightness" and "darkness" to the record.
The complete interview will air on SIRIUSXM’s THE SPECTRUM channel TONIGHT at 7p (ET). A complete SOUNDCLOUD audio of the interview can be heard here.
"Hello" has debuted at #1 on the iTUNES chart in 85 countries around the world on the first day of its release and despite the fact that it isn't released for another four weeks, '25' has also gone to the top of the iTUNES album chart in 77 countries on pre-order sales alone.
The video has been viewed over 3 million times.
