Steve Weatherford Returns To NFL After Jets Call During His WEPN-F (ESPN New York 98.7FM) Show

ESPN Sports WEPN-F (ESPN NEW YORK 98.7FM)/NEW YORK weekend co-host STEVE WEATHERFORD got a job offer he couldn't refuse while co-hosting his show with DAVE ROTHENBERG SATURDAY morning, so by SUNDAY he was back in the NFL punting for the NEW YORK JETS.

WEATHERFORD. who played for the JETS in 2009-10 before his stint with the NEW YORK GIANTS yielded a SUPER BOWL ring, told listeners during the show that he had been signed to fill in after regular JETS punter RYAN QUIGLEY went out with a shin injury WEATHERFORD was cut by the GIANTS before this season.

In SUNDAY's JETS loss to the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS, WEATHERFORD punted four times for an average 30.8 yards.
