Former MICHIGAN PUBLIC MEDIA sales account executive JEREMY NORDQUIST was sentenced THURSDAY (9/21) to 18 months' probation after his conviction on a charge of conspiracy to embezzle.
NORDQUIST was convicted in JULY on the charge but acquitted of another charge; he can reduce his probation if he pays $5,000 in restitution to the company. NORDQUIST was one of three former MPM employees to be charged with taking gifts and other items received by the noncommercial radio and TV operation at the UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN in trade for underwriting announcements.
