Columbia Ups Mark Williams To Pres./A&R

MARK WILLIAMS has been promoted to Pres./A&R for COLUMBIA RECORDS. WILLIAMS was previously EVP/A&R, and has been with COLUMBIA RECORDS since 2010.

“With his wide ranging experience and excellent taste, MARK has been a key member of the COLUMBIA creative team for the last 5 years and this is a natural next step for him to run our A&R division. All of us at Columbia congratulate him on his exciting new role,” said Chairman ROB STRINGER.

During his tenure at COLUMBIA RECORDS, WILLIAMS has been involved in the signing and development of such notable acts as LEON BRIDGES, PHARRELL WILLIAMS, FIRST AID KIT, NINE INCH NAILS, ODD FUTURE, JACK WHITE, THE SHINS, among others.

“ROB STRINGER has created an atmosphere at COLUMBIA RECORDS where music is first and foremost,” stated WILLIAMS.  “It’s an honor to work with such a diverse, groundbreaking roster and be part of an executive team dedicated to continually pushing creative boundaries on behalf of our artists and label partners.
