Radio Veteran Laurie West Dies

THE FRESNO BEE is reporting that 30-year radio veteran LAURIE WEST died in her sleep last week after complications from an illness she had been recently hospitalized for.  

LAURIE WEST was considered by many to be a "trailblazer" for women in radio.   She was most recently the morning co-host of EL DORADO AC KSTT (COAST 101.3)/SAN LUIS OBISPO.  WEST had worked in the FRESNO market for over 20 years with stints at KCLQ (FM 107.5), KALZ, KSKS, and later moved to KTEA (FM 103.5)/CABRIA, CA.
