The “49th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS” are still hours away from kickoff, but two winning categories have already been announced: DOT RECORDS duo MADDIE & TAE will take home the Video Of The Year trophy for “Girl In A Country Song,” with CAPITOL’s KEITH URBAN and EMI NASHVILLE’s ERIC CHURCH picking up Musical Event of the Year honors for collaborating on “Raise ‘Em Up.” Both winners were revealed during this morning’s (11/4) “Good Morning AMERICA” broadcast on ABC-TV.
It’s the second consecutive year for URBAN grabbing Musical Event of the Year honors and his fourth overall win in the category; last year, he teamed with MIRANDA LAMBERT for “We Were Us.” In 2013, he shared the prize with TIM MCGRAW and TAYLOR SWIFT for "Highway Don't Care," and 2009 saw "Start A Band" with BRAD PAISLEY claim the trophy.
The remaining 10 category winners will be revealed TONIGHT (11/4) during the "49TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS" at BRIDGESTONE ARENA in NASHVILLE. The event will be broadcast live beginning at 8p (ET) on ABC-TV.
